I am Robert Mirza, a Graphic Artist from the Art Institute of Houston, turned fine artist.
I also sign under Roberto Bruni, due to my multi-ethnicity.
I speak and teach 7 languages. Because of my cultural heritage, I see things in 7 different ways and many life problems have many different answers. Like most artists, I don't produce art in only a particular and single style.
I lived in Africa, in Uruguay, a great country for soccer and the best beef in the world. Then, the island of Curaçao, great destination for pristine turquoise beaches and Caribbean sunsets. Then, The Netherlands, the country of the great Erasmus of Rotterdam. The Gouda cheese country and Shell. My Italian and French heritage gave me the courage to choose a fine art career instead of a lucrative, but morally wrong career as a graphic artist. Why should people buy things they don't need?
Art is art and pure. I better stick to art.
I did my Elementary and High Scool in Uruguay, where in Montevideo, I developed my own Spanish language identity. Then, between Curaçao and The Netherlands, I got my Durch High School and my Spanish Teaching Degree, in addition to a short stay at the Curaçao Art Academy. Then, a seminar fir French teachers at the beautiful island of Guadaloupe. And, finally, my Associate in Applied Arts in Advertising Design, at the Art Institute of Houston, in 1983!
I had my first Art Exhibition, with my art and my students' art, on 1981, in Curaçao.
My second art exhibition was in 2024, in the tiny city of McAllen, in the most southern tip of Texas, next to Mexico.
