Dominik Gudalewicz

Dominik Gudalewicz (born February 21, 2001, Poland) is a self-taught contemporary artist currently living and working in Poland. He works primarily in painting, and his work draws from his experience with graffiti. He employs mixed media on canvas and other media. He is primarily known as the creator of the concept and practice of quantum abstraction—an innovative artistic approach that intertwines philosophical, scientific, and metaphysical elements, exploring the complexities of perception and consciousness.

His work is characterized by a dynamic interplay of automatism, fractality, and superposition, unfolding in a processual rhythm, where each work manifests through layered transformation. The creative process is viewed here as a form of evolution—the painting becomes a living organism, subject to change, uncertainty, and the momentary act of observation.

The key project defining his practice is the Quantum Abstraction Manifesto, a document that lays the foundations for his approach. This manifesto was distributed to over 200 art institutions, galleries, and universities worldwide, including Harvard, Oxford, and academia, initiating an international dialogue with the global art world.
