Céline Nordberg Nielsen

Hello! I’m Céline Nordberg, a Danish artist from the vibrant heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. My primary medium is watercolor and oil, but I also explore the realms of ceramics in my creative pursuits.

My journey into art began in childhood, with a keen interest in capturing motives with precise detail. Over time, my focus shifted towards blending my early dedication to accuracy with a passion for figurative art. My work, characterized by its figurative elegance and minimalist approach, seeks to challenge conventional perceptions with its unique use of color and form.

I find joy in painting subjects recognizable to the eye, yet presented with colors and shapes that challenge conventional perspectives. My themes revolve around femininity, vulnerability, and fragility. The delicate pastel hues, the nuanced postures of the figures, and the overall nude and minimalistic aesthetic in my work aim to convey the strength inherent in vulnerability and fragility.

I am a self-taught artist, driven by my passion for creativity and self-expression. Without formal training, I have developed my skills through experimentation, observation, and constant practice. My journey as an artist has been a personal exploration, allowing me the freedom to shape my own style and approach. Each piece I create is a reflection of my unique perspective and the emotions I seek to convey. For me, art is a continuous learning process, and I’m always eager to grow and evolve in my craft.
