"Shivaraj M" - "Relatist" is a contemporary Indian artist and founder of "Relatism", a philosophical and artistic movement that understands reality as a living web of relationships. Emerging from the artist's lifelong engagement with animistic thought and expanded through philosophy, science, psychology, ecology, and Indian spiritual traditions, Relatism proposes that identity, meaning, and existence arise through interconnectedness rather than isolation. It offers a framework in which every form of existence - living or non-living - participates in the continuous unfolding of reality.
A graduate of the "Chamarajendra Academy of Visual Arts (CAVA), Mysuru", Shivaraj works primarily in acrylic and oil on canvas, combining realism with subtle surrealism to create visually compelling and philosophically layered works. His paintings investigate the relationships between humans, animals, birds, insects, plants, natural elements, and everyday objects, treating them not as separate categories but as participants in a shared continuum of existence.
