Elson Olavides

Elson Olavides Jr. (b. 1999, april 14) is an artist from Lapu-Lapu City who transitioned from oil and acrylic painting to creating mosaic sculptures. Using wood scraps from his father's traditional carvings, he reinterpret carving techniques by upcycling the wood pieces. Arranged diagonally, these pieces forms intricate wood mosaic sculptures. Blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary innovation.
