A painter based in Cheshire, UK. The works explore rhythm, repetition and quiet attention through the language of acrylic paint. Each surface is built slowly through meditative mark-making; a process that balances control and intuition.
Working at a 100x100cm scale, Mestdagh creates textural, monochrome abstractions designed to bring a sense of calm and presence into contemporary interiors. His recent paintings reflect an ongoing search for stillness and order, drawing inspiration from everyday materials, natural tones, and the subtle tension between movement and restraint.
"My paintings are quiet, repetitive explorations of surface and rhythm. I work in acrylic on canvas, layering marks in a slow, meditative way".
Each piece aims to hold stillness — to offer a calm, textural space that complements modern interiors yet stands independently as fine art.
