Shilpi Dabral

I am a contemporary visual artist based in Bangalore, India. My work explores symbolism, spirituality, and human emotion through textured geometric abstraction. Much of my artistic journey evolved during my years in Dubai, where exposure to a vibrant multicultural art scene rekindled my creative practice and helped shape my visual language.

Working primarily with acrylics and textured mediums, I develop my compositions through an intuitive layering process that combines wet-in-wet painting with dry brushing techniques. This approach allows colours, textures, and geometric forms to interact organically, creating depth and subtle movement within the surface.

Inspired by nature, travel, and personal reflection, my work often explores themes of feminine strength, unity, and the enduring connection between humanity and Mother Earth. Through my paintings, I aim to create contemplative spaces where structure, texture, and emotion come together in quiet harmony.

I am an Optometrist from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India
I am a self taught artist following art with passion.
