As a self-taught artist, Alessanara has maintained an artistic freedom far removed from academic conventions, which is reflected in her distinctive works. Acrylic on canvas is her medium, with which she explores the boundaries between realism and fantasy. Through her play with colors, she creates artworks that are both captivating and thought-provoking. Alessanara's works are a visual plea for a return to nature and a renewed sense of wonder at its marvels.
As a self-taught artist, I have chosen my own path from the very beginning. Free from the formal constraints of academic training, I was able to develop a unique visual language that allows me to depict animals in a new, vivid world of color for the viewer. This freedom in the creative process is at the core of my artistic identity.
022: Group Exhibition, Albrechtsberg Castle, Dresden
– In the historic rooms of the castle, I presented a small selection of my works for the first time, which were still held in a natural color palette. These works reflected a phase in which my artistic exploration of the animal world was more influenced by realistic tones.
2020: Group Exhibition, Albrechtsberg Castle, Dresden
– My first exhibition provided the opportunity to present lifelike depictions of animals. These works laid the foundation for my later development, where I began to engage more deeply with surreal color schemes.
