Aisha Mahmood

Aisha Mahmood is a contemporary abstract artist from Pakistan, known for her textured seascapes, landscapes, and calligraphic abstractions. Her work is inspired by the rhythm of the sea, the shifting tones of the sky, and the emotional landscapes shaped by healing and renewal.

Working with acrylics, palette knives, and gold leaf, Aisha builds layered, tactile surfaces that explore the balance between control and spontaneity. Each piece captures light, depth, and movement — expressing the quiet strength that rises through fragility and imperfection.

My training in textile design nurtured a deep understanding of texture, layering, and surface movement — elements that now define my abstract painting style. The discipline of fabric composition and pattern creation naturally evolved into my exploration of paint, gold leaf, and mixed media on canvas.
