Daniel Montoya Neiderbach

Hello, my name is Daniel Montoya Neiderbach. I work primarily in two-dimensional media such as painting, printmaking, drawings, mixed media, collage, graphic design, and digital art.

Since I was a child I have lived, breathed, and have been surrounded by art. I was born in Madrid, Spain and raised in the picturesque city of Segovia, Spain.

At an early age I remember looking at art books, walking around the house and trying to identify titles of art reproductions I saw hanging on the walls, and also observing my father paint. From the inception I gained a love and appreciation for art and art history which has inspired my work.

In the 80s my family moved to Brooklyn, New York (my mother’s hometown). In 1992, I obtained a Bacherlor´s in Art History from Tufts University. At the same time, I pursued my art studies at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston where I explored Painting, Drawing, Animation, Stained Glass, Serigraphy, and Printmaking. I later pursued a Master´s degree in Art History from Williams College, MA in 1994 with a concentration in Printmaking.
