Catherine De Cesare received her BFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts and also studied at Paier School of Art and the Art Students League, before turning to fine art full time. Previously she worked as a architectural illustrator with clients including the City of Alexandria, Washington DC and Christie’s.
Now based in Warwick, New York, Catherine works from her studio, where drawing and painting remain at the heart of her practice. Her work has been recognized with awards from the Ridgewood Art Institute, Hudson Valley and Tuxedo Plein Air Festivals, the National League of American Pen Women, and the Society of Illustrators in New York City.
She is currently producing Women Who Inspire, a collection of portraits honoring remarkable women whose courage, creativity, and spirit continue to shape the world.
