Stella Ekpe

I’m a Nigerian multidisciplinary artist whose work explores identity, memory, and transformation through layered self-portraiture. My signature Ekpe Papier Strata technique—developed from experimenting with paper, texture, and paint—creates rippled surfaces that echo skin, water, and time. Each painting becomes a vessel of emotion and heritage, where fragility meets resilience and silence turns into story.

Ekpe obtained a bachelor degree in visual arts from The University Of Porthacourt, Nigeria in 2018.

Her works have been featured in several group exhibitions and sales which includes Gemini Art Gallery for October Rain (2023), The Artist commune with One Art Gallery (2024), +234Artfair by Soto Gallery (2025)
