Patrick Odorizzi

I explore extraordinary landscapes, striving to capture their essence in images that are not passively observed but truly experienced. Each shot is designed to transport the viewer to that place, allowing them to feel the breeze, the silence of nature, and the light dancing on every detail. My inspiration is deeply rooted in painters such as Caravaggio, Vermeer, and Rembrandt for their masterful use of light, and photographers like Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, and Michael Kenna for their pursuit of perfect composition.

It is the light—its intensity and direction—that sculpts shapes and volumes, giving my images a dramatic, sometimes almost cinematic approach. In projects like DOLOMITI SILENT PLACES, I use black and white to strip away the superfluous, amplifying the contrast between light and shadow and creating a depth that encourages introspection. In color landscapes, as in the project BIBIONE UNSEEN, I work with two or at most three subtly desaturated tones, combined with geometric and minimalist compositions often completed as diptychs.
