Catriona Wood

Catriona is a London based contemporary artist, inspired by nature. She has a particular interest in seascapes and florals because of the escapism and freedom it provides as she recreates these places and parts of life. Catriona uses acrylic paint to create the essence of the subject in a contemporary, sometimes abstracted style.

Catriona studied an art and design foundation diploma in Falmouth, Cornwall, a graphic design degree in Edinburgh and Boston (USA) and since, has lived for short periods in France and Australia, so draws inspiration from all over. She frequently travels which has a strong influence on her work.

Catriona’s studio is based in south-west London. She exhibits across galleries in Surrey and London in solo and group shows, where she sells her original acrylic paintings and limited edition prints. Catriona also takes commissions, most recently completing a painting for a client in Sydney. Her artwork is now in homes across England, Scotland, France, Spain, USA and Australia.
