After a career in Petrochemical Engineering, I returned to art as a hobby in my early 50’s. I Mainly work with Acrylics but have also completed a few pieces in Graphite , ink, and Gouache. I have a tendency toward realism but occasionally like to try a looser approach, I quite like realistic technical painting combined with unusual viewpoints or multiple image references to draw more attention to the piece.
My favourite artists are varied and many... Ivan Fraga, Hockney, Modigliani, Schiele, Steve Mills, Magritte, Raphaella Spence among others, I like all kinds of art from the incredible skill of photo realism to the imagination of Magritte and Hockney, and find interest in all mediums and subjects.
wer so much the better.
