Ko Eun Kim

New York City-based artist Ko Eun Kim explores the powerful connection between music, emotion, and color. Originally from Korea, she came to the United States to study art therapy, with a desire to help people through art, and now calls New York City home. Inspired by the dynamic energy of a jazz concert, Kim discovered that color is not only a visual tool but a language that communicates deep human emotions. Using acrylic paints and the marbling technique, her work captures the fluid, spontaneous movement of emotion, reflecting the vitality and energy that music evokes.

Kim often incorporates whimsical imagery, such as people blowing bubbles, symbolizing the act of dreaming and the fleeting nature of human thoughts. Her art continually pushes the boundaries of expression, experimenting with different mediums to evoke comfort, hope, and inspiration. Through her vibrant, emotionally charged paintings, she seeks to create an emotional sanctuary for viewers, inviting them to connect with the vitality and dreamlike quality of color.
