Judy Palaferro

I started drawing in my early teens. I was heavily influenced by the music of my generation, all the great bands and album design. The originality was bold and fluid. The musicianship, writing and album art - astounding. Over the years I struggled with my identity whether I was a designer or a painter. I felt more comfortable creating my personal narratives and at the time this type of work was criticized for its obscurity. Eventually, abstract painting took hold of me and I was able to explore my relationship with paint, movement and color. I took a break from painting due to the challenges of living in New York City. I am beginning anew in 2025 and will have new work posted on this site soon. Thank you.
