Painting is a manner of returning in resonance with its imagination. To collect reality, to modify it are the plays of the painter…
Here it is about a coloured play which is added to the play of the forms.
Sometimes the forms are controlled; they fit in a figurative register. But they arrive that I leave reality quickly. Then another world appears… I seek a kind of vibration; I imagine the internal structure of the things.
To seize essence and to restore it in a new report/ratio form color.
I am interested in the various manners of returning the third dimension on this two-dimensional surface. An empty full play creates the depth. The full ones, coloured surfaces, organize the figurative drawing.
The white vacuums or blacks according to the tables are arranged in order to give again with the observer another dimension.
My design of painting is influenced directly by my training of architect. The questions of space, of empty full report/ratio, control of the third dimension, situation of a body in a place are omnipresent in my painting…
