Chloe Ji Yoon is a Korean-born artist with a diverse background in theatrical design, costume concept art, and fashion education. After earning her MFA in Theatrical Design in the U.S., she built a career as a film costume concept artist in Hollywood and later taught in the Department of Fashion Industry at a Korean university. Today, she continues to explore visual storytelling through both painting and drawing.
Her works move fluidly between expressive watercolor portraits, observational figure sketches, and richly narrative acrylic paintings. Whether capturing the fleeting emotion of a face in profile or building a layered world around her recurring character “Zoey,” Chloe’s art often reveals a deep interest in gesture, femininity, and inner life.
Drawing remains at the core of her practice. From delicate ink renderings to bold, experimental brushwork, she approaches drawing not just as a preparatory step but as an expressive, finished form. Her style reflects her dual sensitivity to fabric and form—a sensibility shaped by years in costume design and fashion illustration.
Chloe’s work offers a unique perspective where fine art, fashion, and character design meet, always grounded in a painter’s love for texture, color, and mood.
