In the nineteen sixties I was a student at the Royal Academy in London. I specialised in oil painting, drawing and making woodcuts. For many years I have lived in Deal on the east Kent coast, an area that has inspired much of my work. Over the past forty years I have exhibited all over the UK.
Attended Willesden Art School, 1953-6, Harrow Art School and gained the Royal Academy School’s certificate, 1961-3, notable teachers including Charles Mahoney. I won three David Murray Scholarships: London, Cornwall and Aix-en-Provence University, France. In 1973 I won the Laing Calendar Prize Competition.
