Avi Ganor

A well-known artist in Israel and have exhibited my works in museums. I have taught at an art academy in Israel. I studied art in the United States, specifically in San Francisco and New York. Recently, I wrote a book about photography.

Has held several solo exhibitions in major Israeli museums over the years:

1985: Ganor presented a solo exhibition at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, curated by Micha Bar-Am. This exhibition summarized his early work, focusing on intimate home photography, utilizing amateur cameras and large-scale prints


1990: He exhibited "A Mountain Itself" at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, curated by Nissan Perez. The exhibition explored the complexity of photography and its relationship to reality

2011: Ganor showcased "RealityTrauma" at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art, curated by Nili Goren. This exhibition featured approximately 30 works from the RealityTrauma series (2003–2010), addressing concepts such as trauma and reality through allegorical and poetic approaches

In addition to these solo exhibitions, Ganor has participated in numerous group exhibitions both in Israel and internationally. His works are part of various public and private collections. Ganor has also published books on photography and its theoretical
