Giovanni Maria Sacco

I am a photographer and I strive for the highest quality and meaningfulness of my work. Since I hate routine, my works have a strong variety and creativeness.
I often use large format (4x5, 5x7, 8x10) film and lately I started to have my photos printed in platinum-palladium. My main themes are the impermanence of human endeavours (death, in short) and metaphysics. In 2023 I published "Silent Theaters" with Kehrer Verlag (impermanence) and in 2024 I published "Metafisica Concreta/Concrete Metaphysics" with Contrasto.
I used to be a university professor of Computer Science till I resigned to devote myself completely to photography. Therefore, I have only recently begun to exhibit my work physically. However, since 2015, I have been granted more than 100 awards in the most important contests (IPA New York, Prix de la Photographie Paris, Tokyo Foto Awards, etc.).
