Julia Musaieva

I was born and educated in Kyiv, Ukraine, where I graduated from the Mykhailo Boychuk State Academy of Decorative and Applied Arts and Design, majoring in Decorative and Applied Arts.
I work primarily with paper, watercolor, and pastel. At the center of my artistic practice is the human being and their inner state — the emotions that seek resonance in the viewer, the quiet recognition that says, “I feel the same.”
For many years, I have worked professionally as a portrait artist, exploring subtle psychological expression through color and gesture. My works are held in private collections, mainly in the United States.
I deeply value academic traditions, craftsmanship, and the mastery of drawing — qualities that remain essential to my creative process.
