Andrei Piankovski

Andrei Piankovski is a figurative painter currently living and working in his studio in Yerevan, Armenia.
Born and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia, Andrei Piankovskii is a figurative painter whose work explores the emotional and psychological depth of the human experience. Rooted in the traditions of the Russian academic school, his paintings combine strong classical foundations with a contemporary sensitivity to light, color, and atmosphere. Now

Piankovski studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Herzen University (2012–2014) before enrolling at the Ilya Repin St. Petersburg Academy of Arts in 2015. He graduated in 2021 from the workshop of Professor Vladimir S. Pesikov. He also studied in the studio of Sergey V. Trepak and received multiple academic awards for excellence during his education.
Since 2021, he has worked at the creative workshop of the Russian Academy of Arts under the direction of Vladimir S. Pesikov. Since 2022, he has been teaching painting and drawing at the Florence Academy of Classical Arts.
His works are held in private collections across Norway, Spain, Portugal, Australia, China, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Russia, Mexico, Argentina, Armenia, Italy and France.
For Piankovskii, art is a way of understanding the world—a prism through which life is perceived in images. Through portraiture and figurative painting, he seeks to express emotion, beauty, and harmony, inviting viewers into a deeper dialogue with the human spirit.
