Waseem Aslam

Since childhood, art and literature have transformed the world of W.M. Aslam - a passion sparked at a young age by his parents and nurtured by inspiring teachers. Raised in the north-east of England near the beautiful Northumerland coast, he paints experimental, impressionistic oils and acrylics on canvas or board, capturing the fleeting beauty of nature. Influenced by Pop-Art, Art-Deco, Impressionism, and Cubism, he creates skies intuitively, layering bold colours over days, guided by emotion. He paints what he feels as well as what he sees. Themes of love, loss, and our relationship with natural and urban landscapes infuse his work with nostalgia and calm. Each painting invites shared joy and empathy - a cathartic, vibrant dialogue with the canvas.
