Mazine Ramona

I was born in Győr, with roots in the Hungarian Great Plain.
Most of my family chose writing as their way of self-expression (I’m from the Petrovics family), but for me, it’s always been visual art.

I don’t paint for sale — every piece I create carries a little part of who I am.
I’ve been learning to express myself through art since I was six years old, and I went to several art schools — though at one point I was asked to leave, because I only showed up for the art classes.
Still, I graduated with top marks.

I’m not a perfect painter or illustrator, but my works are honest.
Some are beautiful, some might even be a bit unsettling — like a mirror that sometimes flatters, sometimes distorts.

I’ll be learning the language of art for the rest of my life.
