Hi, I'm Anna, and I'd love to introduce myself. Having quit my work a few years ago, I am now a full-time painter and a mother of two. I envisioned myself being able to fully focus on my passions, painting and drawing.
I am completely self-taught. Several years ago, I learned how to use brushes and oil paints on my own. Since then, I've taken classes and tried my best to get better.
As I progress through life, I intend to keep studying.
I once ran upon a book written by Robert Bateman, a remarkable American painter who had a strong love for nature. Since then, I've developed a deep affection for wildlife art, especially art that depicts animals. I haven't left it.
I became interested in learning about the inner feelings of animals. Perhaps we will never find it. But when I look at an animal's expression—like a lion gazing at the horizon or an elephant holding her calf in her trunk—I can't help but feel a profound connection to them.
Understanding the deeper aspects of animals is my way of conveying emotion through my paintings.
