Marc Violette (b. 1989, Edmundston, Canada) is an abstract painter whose work explores fields of light, movement, and energy. Working from his studio in Edmundston, he builds layered compositions of colour and geometry that sit between landscape, cosmos, and inner experience.
Guided by a long-term study of Stoicism and a disciplined use of Fibonacci-based proportion, Violette treats each painting as a structure for contemplation. Glazed grounds, measured axes, and carefully weighted intervals create a sense of order, while fluid gestures and intuitive adjustments keep the work alive and unpredictable. The result is a visual language that feels both architected and elemental.
His paintings invite viewers into meditative, charged spaces—places where attention slows, breathing changes, and emotional states become more visible. References to galaxies, currents, and cellular forms appear and dissolve, suggesting the same energy moving through the micro and the cosmic.
