Mayolo Ramirez

Mayolo Ramirez Ruiz (Architect). Oaxaca, Mexico, 1959. He graduated from the National School of Architecture of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in 1981 with honors. At the Graduate Studies Division of the same University, he carried out Master’s level studies in Monuments Restoration. Since the beginning of his career, he has participated in projects of Dissemination and Restoration of Monuments, and has been interested in the graphic representation of architecture, exploring the application of various drawing techniques such as pencil and ink. He has also used engraving on metal with etching and aquatint techniques. He has combined the aforementioned techniques with watercolor. In his work, the plastic expression of Architecture is approached through elevations and three-dimensional representations, using the Renaissance Perspective.

He lives and works in Mexico City where, in his drawing and engraving workshop, he has integrated the Centro Histórico Collection, with his own drawings, which bear witness to the historical architecture, mainly of Mexico.
