As most people who do art on a regular basis will attests to, it’s therapeutic. Doing “found assembled art” came to me later in life, satisfying many areas of my brain. Now I have made more than 50 pieces, all self-contained, complex, decorative and often wild. The method is simple, find unique, mostly unexplainable and different found objects at estate, moving or garage sales, then assemble it with apoxy and paint. I usually look for items people can’t identify. Most things I use are made from metal, glass, aluminum, brass, wood and fantastic jewelry.
I never know what the piece will look like during the process or how big or heavy it will get, but somehow they all seem to work. I want every art project to be intricate, multi-layers and take the person on a fun journey of imagination. My stuff is not simple, combining several objects into a world not seen before. Some are deep dives into a futuristic world of Steampunk like floats, while others find ways to combine similar pieces. I am not a fan of simple, as I usually over do things, adding jewelry to make it look grand and upscale.
As I evolve, so do my pieces, hopefully you look close up, get
