MYTH AS A UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE

In my artistic research, I explore the timeless power of mythology as a bridge between past and present, between symbol and meaning. I don’t merely represent mythological figures, but investigate the profound dialogue between the archetypal significance of myth and its contemporary representation.

Mythology, with its extraordinary narrative heritage, has nourished centuries of Western art history. In my works, these ancient stories become vehicles to explore the deep structures of the human psyche. Behind each mythological figure lies a universal instance that transcends time and culture: they are symbols that speak directly to the collective unconscious, revealing truths that belong to human experience in every era.

Through mixed media technique, I create a personal visual language where watercolor – with its transparency and fluidity – dialogues with the substantial materiality of acrylic. This technical fusion reflects the very nature of myth: both evanescent and concrete at the same time. My experimentation extends to the use of different materials which, over time, have formed a true “symbolic dictionary”: aluminum becomes a weapon, a tool, moon or rock; tracing paper evokes water or fabrics.
