Cinzia Romeo

Between skin and dream, between body and symbol.

I paint to cross the invisible, to shape the emotion before it becomes a word "The deep blue: the space of the unconscious, of mystery, of wound and of dream.

This is the ocean of my emotional experience.

A womb. An abyss. A border between memory and liberation.

The transparent, intertwined bodies: they are parts of me.

The me who survived.

The me who cried.

The me that consoles.

The me who is still looking.

And also maybe the me who needs to be embraced by herself.

Eyes closed: not escape, but inner listening.

Everything happens inside.

The trauma, the awakening, the reconstruction.

Leaks, open lines: The pain is not sealed.

It slaides, tears, pulsates. But it doesn't stop me.

He's alive. And in transformation.

"Everything that has been taken away from me, I am repainting it with my own hands.

My body becomes canvas, my pain becomes water.

And in every brushstroke, he's sewing me up, without the need for words." Every work is a body that speaks.

I am interested in what is not said but felt: the space where desire and wound meet and transform.
