Rebecca Morris

Rebecca Morris is an artist based in North Wales, originally from the North East of England. She has been drawn to creativity from an early age and pursued art through school, college, and university, where she studied Fine Art and explored a wide range of expressive approaches.

Early in her practice, Rebecca was captivated by drawing and colour, creating bold and vibrant work. While driven by a desire to communicate meaning, she struggled to find a clear vision or authentic voice, becoming skilled in imitation rather than self-expression.

This shifted in her second year at university, when a God she was not looking for found her and captured her heart, awakening a new creativity and passion. This encounter reshaped her from the inside out, revealing a voice and imagery uniquely her own.

Colour is central to Rebecca’s work—bold, vibrant, and full of life. She often begins with a dark or black ground, layering colour to create contrast and draw the viewer in. For her, this process reflects life emerging from darkness, like hope breaking through in unexpected ways.
