Silvana Garavello

Silvana Garavello, born in Bologna, has dedicated her career to both painting and art education (Art teacher at High schools in Bologna and Venice). Her practice is a long-standing exploration of light and matter, characterized by a refined use of mixed media on various supports. With a career spanning over two decades, including participations in international events such as the 54th Venice Biennale (collateral events) and exhibitions across Europe (Helston, Ghent, Krakow), her work is held in numerous private and public collections. Her current research, the "White Project," marks a sophisticated synthesis of her lifelong study of 'rarefaction' and visual silence.

Silvana trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, studying at the prestigious Painting School of Giorgio Morandi and under the guide of Master Mario Venturelli.
