I am Natalia Butenko, and my creative work is devoted to watercolor—a medium that has opened up a special sense of freedom and expressiveness for me. I live in Portugal, and every day I see how the light and colors of this southern European landscape turn ordinary moments into a source of inspiration.
In my artworks I focus on still lifes and landscapes, capturing the atmosphere of a place and the emotion of a moment. I use a variety of techniques, including wet‑in‑wet painting, and constantly experiment with contemporary approaches, while keeping the image clear and expressive. I work only with professional‑grade materials, which ensures high quality and long‑lasting artworks.
I came to watercolor on my own, without formal art academy training, but completed serious, long‑term courses with recognized teachers, many of whom teach at art universities. Watercolor has taught me to notice beauty in everyday life, and it is this feeling that I strive to convey in my works.
I have participated in exhibitions and continue to take part in them, where my watercolors find resonance with viewers and collectors.
