Will Mccoy

Bio
Will McCoy is a painter and sculptor based in Cloverdale, California. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Art Studio (Drawing, Painting, and Sculpture) and has shown and sold his work in a variety of venues throughout the Western United States. Will's work depicts a variety of subjects, reflecting his diverse interests and experiences, often portraying a moment of beauty or stillness. Will works primarily in acrylics for painting, but is in afraid to incorporate a variety of media to achieve his vision.


Artist Statement

Engaging with the world around me brings me inspiration for my work. I am inspired by glimpses of beauty, culture, and nature. From a moment noticing the sunrise hitting the leaves on an oak tree, to the image of a farmer harvesting water lilies. Beauty, for me, is unpredictable and fickle muse uncovered in the moment. It all comes from looking, noticing, and paying attention to the world around me, and to savoring those moments through my artwork.
