I’m Diego Armando Rivera, a Chilean visual artist working in analog collage. My practice begins with fragments: found images, incomplete bodies, remnants of other narratives. I work exclusively with physical materials —scissors, glue, paper— as a way to resist digital speed and return to the intimate gesture of cutting.
At one point in my life, I experienced homelessness while living in Barcelona. That time of displacement deeply marked my work: what is broken, discarded, or dislocated is not just an aesthetic —it’s a memory that persists. Each collage is an attempt to bring order to chaos, to gather fragments and give them new shape. My art is a search for meaning through discontinuity, a way to reconcile with wounds through form.
I’m currently based in Santiago, Chile, producing unique, small- and medium-format pieces, all professionally mounted and framed for exhibition and collection.
