Vu Thuphong

Vu Thuphong is a Vietnamese oil painter based in Hanoi. Inspired by the architectural heritage of Vietnam, his work documents sacred and abandoned spaces with a focus on atmospheric light and emotional resonance. Each painting is created as a unique, one-of-a-kind original on canvas. Certificate of Authenticity included with all works. My "Vietnamese Architecture Series" (1995-2025) is a five-painting historical collection. It traces Vietnam's soul through craft villages, shipyards, temples, and ruins. The early works from 1995-1997 document traditions like wood-fired kilns and wooden boatbuilding that have since vanished. This series is a personal record of a nation's heritage in transition.
