Tornike Abesadze

I was born on April 11, 1991, in Georgia—a country rich in history, contrasts, and natural beauty. Although I don’t have a formal art education, art has always been a strong and silent presence in my life. Painting is the way I process the world—my outlet for emotion, observation, and imagination.

I work primarily with oil on canvas, focusing on portraits and still lifes (naturemorts), often inspired by fleeting moments and atmospheric scenes. I take photographs of places and people that move me, and later reimagine them in larger-scale paintings. My process begins with a snapshot, but what emerges on the canvas is more than just a reproduction—it’s a memory reinterpreted through color, texture, and light.

While I struggle to define my painting style in technical terms, it could be described as photographic yet emotional—rooted in observation but driven by feeling. Each piece is a quiet attempt to make stillness speak.

This journey is entirely self-taught, and now I’m ready to share my work with the world.

I dont have a formal education in arts, I studied business administration and have some begionnings in interior design.
