Umama Shaikh

Umama is an emerging artist whose work is inspired by the natural world and the universe. She draws creative energy from elements that exist beyond human creation — the sky, moon, stars, galaxies, trees, birds, animals, and the quiet beauty of nature.

Her work leans toward abstraction and is guided by intuition and emotion. Though still developing her style, Umama is currently exploring abstract expression as a way to communicate what she feels rather than what she sees.

She also creates freehand Arabic/Islamic calligraphy — not with the intention of conveying literal meaning, but as a visual element that brings movement and rhythm to the composition.

Each piece reflects her evolving journey as an artist: honest, imperfect, and rooted in a deep sense of curiosity and connection with the natural world.
