Faces and bodies are born from the depths of my imagination. They flow to the rhythm of direct contact with matter. An immense ancestral emotion pervades my entire being, provoking a creative freedom toward imaginary worlds.
Fusions of materials, used throughout history, have awakened a profound interest in me since my creative beginnings. The vital importance lies in expressing and merging diverse races and customs.
The work process begins with the observation of natural resources; each stone, marble, and tree holds a different meaning. The imperfections and irregularities of the living material enrich the final result of the work, revealing the imprint that nature offers us.
The dialogue I establish with each of them is the beginning of the execution of the creation. I undress myself in a process of direct carving in which neither models nor sketches intervene only the energies and everything that dwells within me flow.

Dogny Abreu

Dogny is a self-taught sculptor whose source of inspiration is nature and human relationships. His creations showcase the fusion of different recycled materials, including iron recovered from an extinction process. His constant observation of the richness of matter and its changes over time, in which he finds beauty and enrichment, inspires him to give them a second chance and give them new life through his artistic expression.
He embarked on a solo career, creating his first works as a child. His beginnings involved direct wood carving, drawing, and painting, reaffirming each time that art would be a part of his life.
