Jinhui Lee

I create paintings that explore sensory experiences shaped by digital image environments.
My work is based on images collected from social media and online platforms, where I construct scenes by layering and connecting different visual sources.

Rather than delivering a clear narrative, I focus on creating a familiar yet unfamiliar atmosphere. Elements such as nature, humans, and animals are loosely combined within a single scene, allowing subtle emotions and sensations to emerge.

By translating digitally consumed images into analog painting, my work raises questions about how we see, perceive, and process visual information today.
