Xiaowu Chen

Chen Mo

Chen Mo (Chen Xiaowu) graduated from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in China. He studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing from 2013 to 2014 and is a member of the Chinese Artists Association. He now lives and works in Beijing, China.

Looking up at the starry sky, the height of human beings must be the heavenly palace as far as the eye can see. I believe that the interesting souls of every era will stay there to illuminate the future for their descendants. Those interesting souls that ushered in industrial civilization were admired by future generations. The light of the Victorian era has traveled through centuries and inspired generations. I hope to use the new perspective of art to construct an image shape to show the interesting soul that was active in that era.
In the real world, we can't see the human soul. We can only feel its existence and some characteristics in human social activities. What is a soul? I subjectively believe that the soul is a synthesis of the innate definition of individual life given by God and the result of the interaction of the relative social environment in the process of occipital life.
