Emmanuel Bancesco is a Romanian fine artist whose work bridges tradition, memory, and craftsmanship. Trained as an architect and having lived for four decades in the United States, he brings an architect’s eye for structure and balance to his still lifes and landscapes. Working primarily in oil on canvas and wood panel, Bancesco paints with vigorous brushwork, luminous color, and a reverence for tangible form. His still lifes celebrate the warmth of old-world domestic rituals—books, wine, and the enduring poetry of the everyday—while his plein air landscapes revisit the fields and villages of his boyhood. Each painting seeks to preserve a sense of continuity between art, place, and the quiet dignity of human tradition.
Emmanuel Bancesco has degree in Architecture and Urbanism obtained in 1975 at the Institute of Architecture and Urbanism Ion Mincu in Bucharest. From 1998 to 2003, he studied Advanced Painting at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (SMFA - Tufts University), In Boston, Massachusetts.
I exhibited my work at the BAAK Gallery in Cambridge, Massachuestts, and the Tishman Speyer art events in Boston, Massachuestts between 1983 and 1997.
I have also solo-exhibited my artwork at the Romanian Order of Architects Art Gallery and The Romanian Union aof Architects for four times, between 2022 and present
