Ben Brixel

Moin,
as people around Hamburg might say, I’m Ben and I’m 18 years old. I’ve loved photography my whole life, enjoy being a bit different, and spend a lot of time thinking about deep philosophical questions. My emotional nature has always been a big part of me – and probably one reason why I reflect on so many things.

Through photography, I can truly let go. I think less and follow my feelings. It clears my mind and often helps me find answers to deeper questions. For example, my series "Metamorphosis" came purely from a feeling and three nights of reflecting on the meaning of life and death. That's why I love this work so much, it helps to capture and express feelings.

I'm a self-taught photographer, learned through practice, experimentation (and happy accidents). It started as a hobby but has become a deep personal passion.
