Burcu Ceran

I am an oil painter whose practice centers on realism and figuration, integrating landscapes, portraits, animals, and elements of the natural world into cohesive visual narratives. My work engages with emotionally charged and socially conscious themes—such as war, injustice, and collective memory—aiming to foster awareness and critical reflection through art.

Since 2022, I have been developing my artistic approach through both self-directed exploration and formal training at the Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory of Fine Arts. My objective is to produce conceptually and emotionally resonant works that not only establish a profound connection with the viewer but also find their place within meaningful artistic platforms.

Coming from a background in Computer Programming and Web Design, I bring a disciplined, analytical perspective to my canvases. This technical foundation enhances my pursuit of contemporary realism, allowing me to bridge the structural logic of the digital world with the fluid, emotional depths of figurative oil painting.
