Corinne Dauger

Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels and later at the Prado workshop in Madrid, Corinne Dauger works from her studio in Paris.

Inspired by the contemporary urban world she has discovered through her travels, Corinne Dauger’s eye is drawn to refined structures and the atmosphere created by natural or artificial light. In her studio begins the process of transposition, aimed at blending purity and emotion, the rigor of lines and the sensuality of a feminine presence. She works exclusively in oil, on canvas or on metal, using a restrained and subtle palette.

Nourished by Hitchcock’s filmography, contemporary comic art, and American realist photography, she juxtaposes cinematic time and suspended time within a silent, scarcely inhabited narrative.

Her works exude a fascinating blend of serenity and mystery.
