EDUCATION
Natalia Röckle is a painter based in Germany (Friolzheim).
She studied at Freie Kunstschule Stuttgart and received additional training at the Stuttgart Academy of Arts. She works daily in her studio.
Röckle works in acrylic — almost always in a multilayered process. Color is placed layer over layer, and later gently opened again. Lower tones appear through the surface as something alive. This soft exposure of the paint is not about memory or the past — it is about aliveness in the present moment. A painting for Röckle is not an image, but an organism that breathes.
In earlier work, Röckle connected the female figure with elements of nature — birds, flowers — exploring “air” as the space around form.
Her current series, “my rose garden”, is not about the literal flower anymore, but about state.
Flowers become breath — the vibration that exists between strokes of paint.
Air is now moved inward — it becomes a physical breath between layers of color.
Natalia Röckle works from small to large formats (including round canvases), focusing on how color and pause create a field for sensation — rather than explanation.
