Ikem Smith

I'm a visual artist from Kingston, Jamaica with over 15 years of professional art experience. I am formally trained in painting and illustration, and have taught myself a wide variety of art forms including: visual effects (VFX), film direction, animation, and film editing. I have a special interest in music and in storytelling, so much of my public work has been done in collaboration with musicians. I'm particularly known in Jamaica for my work on narrative music videos. Although I mostly do commissioned work in the film space, I have recently returned to painting as another means of expression.
