From an early age, painting has been an essential part of my life. My artistic journey began in childhood and was encouraged by a teacher who recognized my talent and inspired me to attend art school. After graduating, I continued my education as an artist specializing in traditional Karelian painting, where I developed a strong foundation in composition, color, and craftsmanship.
Today, my work is devoted to the quiet poetry of nature. I create contemporary botanical paintings inspired by wild gardens, delicate blossoms, and the ever-changing beauty of the natural world. Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, I combine expressive brushwork with translucent layers of color to create luminous, dreamlike compositions that balance botanical realism with a painterly, atmospheric approach.
Rather than depicting specific flowers, I seek to capture a feeling—the serenity of a hidden garden, the freshness of morning light, or the fleeting beauty of a bloom. My paintings invite the viewer to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature through moments of peace, hope, and quiet contemplation.
